The Government shuts down United Kingdom on Monday night, as the Prime minister announced the followings:
- People told to stay at home
- All non-essential shops to close
- Places of worship closed
- Public gatherings of more than two people (not including same house hold members) is banned
1. People told to stay at home
You must stay at home only reason for you to leave your home for the following reason
- Essential food shopping
- one form of exercise per day on your own or with only people you live with
- a medical need
- travelling to and from essential work
2. All non-essential shops to close
All shops selling none essential goods are to close with immediate effect. The following shops selling following items are allowed to stay open.
- Food stores
- Pharmacies
- newsagents
- Hardware shops
- petrol stations
Banks and Post Offices are also allowed to stay ope
3. Places of worship closed
All library’s and play grounds will be Closed. However, public parks will remain open but gatherings will be dispersed. All gatherings/ social events will cease immediately, including weddings and baptisms apart from funerals
This will be in place for a minimum of three weeks. Police will have the ability to arrest and fine people who do not comply with this order – more information to follow
